WELCOME TO THE SANTA CLARA RIVER WATERSHED CONSERVANCY

The Santa Clara River Watershed Conservancy (SCRWC) is a conservation organization that was formed in 2009 to maintain connectivity and natural resources throughout the Santa Clara River watershed.  We are based in the Santa Clara River valley. Our primary goal is to protect the wild lands in the Santa Clara River watershed through land conservation.

We work to protect endangered species, the animal corridors, and wildlife habitat with conservation easements and by purchasing land to keep habitat linkages and animal corridors connected. We work together with public agencies and other non-profits to ensure that we don’t duplicate other’s efforts. Part of our work protecting wildlife corridors involves public outreach and education about the animals and plants that live and move about in our local wild places.

Mission Statement

Our mission is to embrace, preserve, and enhance our community’s unique natural surroundings through education, advocacy, and land protection.
